For NaNo I started with an idea and a notion of how it ended and just wrote. I ended up with 53000 words and after a couple of months of revision I have a book that is ready to go.<br />I would recomend the process, and I'm very sympathetic now you trying another, though not necessarily in November. It seems like a long time to wait.<br />I remember seeing a programme about Ian Fleming, it said he went to the Carribbean each year and wrote a book.
